This richly conceived yet intimately scaled residence is strongly centered and self-contained. While adopting the vocabulary of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie house style, the Emil Bach House looks toward future stylistic directions in Wright’s work, in its contained geometry, efficient scale and distinctive window designs.

LOCATION: 7415 N. Sheridan Rd. (Rogers Park), Chicago, IL

We’re excited to announce that the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is launching a new bus tour to include Emil Bach House entitled Wright Along the Lake. These tours will begin on July 21, 2021, and will take place on Wednesdays, based on availability.

The tour includes Wright’s Rookery Light Court designed in 1905 as well as Daniel Burnham’s Private Library Office located on the 11th floor of the building, where Wright also had an office. The tour then proceeds to Emil Bach House for a private look at this special home, and the tour concludes at the Frederick C. Robie House, Wright’s most famous and influential Prairie design, now inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list of Wright’s iconic buildings. Lunch will be provided at the Robie House which will be open only for the bus tour guests. The air-conditioned tour bus will then bring the group back to the Rookery.
