LODGING
Cancellations: Emil Bach House and Lang House Chicago are exclusive properties where every guest reservation is important and special to us. We ask that you provide 30 days’ notice if you need to cancel your reservation so that we have the opportunity to rebook the dates. Cancellations made up to 30 days before your check-in date will result in a full refund of the 50% deposit made at time of booking. If you must cancel within 30 days of your reservation, we will make every effort to rebook the dates and will refund your deposit in that event. If we are unable to book the dates the 50% deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations that occur 10 days or less prior to check-in date will not be eligible for a refund of the deposit.
We require 90 days’ notice for cancellation of events for a full refund of the deposit.
Fifty percent (50%) of your total invoice will be billed at the time your reservation is made. The remainder of your invoice will be billed on the day of your arrival. Rates/policies are subject to change. Rates may vary during high impact periods, special events, and holidays. Tax rate is 20.89% total for combined State & City taxes.
All overnight guests must be registered for security purposes. More than 6 guests on the property at Emil Bach House and more than 20 guests on the property at Lang House Chicago constitutes an event, and a contract will be required.
We welcome children! Please be aware that Emil Bach and Lang House Chicago are historic homes. Children must be closely supervised.
Check-in: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Check-in is contactless so you may check-in any time after 3:00pm. If you are checking-in for an event, we will arrange to meet with you in person.
Check-out: 11:00 AM (Emil Bach House), 12:00PM (Lang House Chicago)
Late check-out may be granted for an additional fee; please contact us to arrange.
Your stay at Emil Bach House includes exclusive use of the gardens and grounds, including the Japanese Tea House on the property. Please no smoking in the tea house at any time! Your stay at Lang House Chicago stay includes exclusive use of the home and surrounding property, including the front porch, and both backyard decks.
Absolutely No Smoking inside the houses; however designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Please ask staff for locations. No illegal drugs allowed on premises.
These homes do not accommodate pets. Local lodging for your beloved pets is available; please call us at 773-654-3959 for a list.
Guest shall pay for any and all damages to the home, or any furniture, equipment or fixtures lost or damaged during your stay.
Garage parking is included in your stay. Additional street parking is free, but availability is limited. An affordable parking garage with 24/hour security is located just 1.5 blocks away.
Lost keys will be billed at $25.00 per set.
Lost garage door openers will be billed at $40.00 per item.
Our Emil Bach House fireplace is available for an additional charge of $ 100.00 for 4 hours, and must be scheduled in advance. We will supply the wood, start your fire, and ensure that the fire is extinguished properly. Your safety is important to us! Emil Bach House is a very important Chicago landmark, and we must ensure your safety as well as that of the home.

GIFT CERTIFICATE POLICIES
Gift certificates must be presented in advance. Gift certificates are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
